Our Story

STAALL // made to measure, is a creative company founded by us, Laurens van Wieringen and Elyne Meijs. Laurens is a builder and designer. A man who thinks in challenges and opportunities, fascinated by engines, machines, and history on wheels, (especially when it makes a lot of noise) Laurens founded Studio Laurens van Wieringen in 2003. After a few amazing working with cultural institutions, Meisjes met Smaak, Yamaha, (Faster Sons), Coca Cola and Van Geloven ( de Bourgondier), Laurens decided to trade his studio for the enormous warehouse where STAALL is now based.

Elyne walked into Laurens’s warehouse and thought, this is where we are going to built together! With a background in interior/ fashion styling and window design Elyne fell in love with the possibility of designing and creating in this enormous space. Elyne gained her experience while working for companies such as de Bijenkorf and Ralph Lauren. After working together on a short term project in 2017, Laurens and Elyne decided to combine their experience and love of design, and together, start STAALL.
